Sort scavenged materials into different categories and discover which ones will be useful for upcoming missions.

🔭 Who’s There?

Build a periscope to check for intruders in Marmot’s burrow while learning how light reflects off mirrors into our eyes.

💡 It’s Dark In Here…

Explore the burrow to fix a faulty circuit. Can you complete a circuit without using wires? Discover conductors and insulators of electricity.

🚤 Across The River!

Design and build your own boat to cross the river. Discover which materials float and which are waterproof.

🎵 Micro:bit Basics

Create and code a simple music player using a micro:bit. Get creative and explore its features and extensions!

🚨 Intruder Alarm!

Build a basic intruder alarm to keep Marmot safe. Learn how PIR sensors detect movement.

🏗️ Day 2: Build The Base

🚜 Create A Bulldozer!

Design a model bulldozer to clear the land. Learn how real bulldozers are built to push heavy loads.

🏠 Build A House!

Construct houses for Grand-papa Rover and his crew. Understand the importance of planning and budgeting before choosing your materials.

💨 Create A Windmill

Harness wind energy by building your own windmill. Explore different types of renewable energy.

🦋 Save Marco!

Help Marco become colourful again to warn predators he is poisonous. Learn why bright colours signal danger in nature.

🌈 Decode Secret Messages…

Uncover a hidden message by exploring how we see colours and how light creates different hues.

🪱 Worm Decoy!

Design a robotic worm to distract predators and protect Wormy. Learn about robotics, angles, and micro:bit programming.

🌟 Beginner-Friendly: No prior coding or robotics experience required

12 hours (6 hours x 2 days)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does my child need prior coding or robotics experience?

Nope! The micro:bit and robotics missions are designed to be beginner-friendly.

Q: Will my child take the micro:bit or robotics kit home?

Nope! The equipment will stay with us. Your child will get to take home their activity booklets, their accomplishment certificate, and their DIY creations!

Q: Will there be any outdoor activities included?

Nope! All activities will be conducted within the facilities of our GR.iD Campus.

Q: Will there be a refund if my child is unable to attend Tiny Engineers Club?

Please note that there will be no refund upon the payment of the workshop fee.

If your child is unable to attend the course due to medical reasons, a copy of the medical certificate must be provided to qualify for a class reschedule (subjected to availability on a best-effort basis).

Q: Does my child need to bring anything for Tiny Engineers Club?

Your child may bring along his/her pencil case and water bottle. All other materials and equipment will be provided during the workshop.

Q: How do I get to the GR.iD Campus via public transport?

Q: Where should I park?

Q: I'm interested in registering my child for Tiny Engineers Club but he/she won't be able to make it for the scheduled intake. What should I do?

Please rest assured that we are intending to conduct more intakes in the future.
