Prior to 5th March 2021, students enrolled in hybrid classes are only permitted to alternate between onsite lessons and digital lessons every week.

They are not allowed to attend onsite lessons at our Centre every week.

Why has this changed?

MOE has recently relaxed their COVID-19 regulations to accommodate up to 8 students in a group, with a minimum of 1m between groups.

We have also managed to re-arrange our furniture to comply with the above measures set out by the Ministry of Education.

Learning Materials

The learning materials will be delivered to your provided address via courier delivery every 6 weeks.

WhatsApp Reminders

Our Customer Care team will continue to send lesson reminders to you via WhatsApp one day prior to the weekly lesson.

Make-Up Lessons

If your child requires a make-up lesson, we’ll be able to arrange for your child attend a digital make-up lesson in an alternate class during the same academic week*.

*Our academic starts on a Friday and ends on a Thursday. Please check with our Customer Care team for the list of available classes for make-up if your child needs one.

Switching Between Arrangements

For Students In Option 1 (Full Onsite):

  • If your child is unable to attend a lesson onsite and would prefer to attend digitally via Zoom on a particular date, please inform the Customer Care team at least 2 days prior to the scheduled lesson.
  • If you’d prefer for your child to attend digital lessons exclusively, you may reach out to the Customer Care team.

For Students In Option 2 (Full Digital):

  • If your child is unable to attend a lesson digitally and would prefer to attend onsite at our centre on a particular date, please inform the Customer Care team at least 2 days prior to the scheduled lesson.

How Are Learning Materials Handled?

Topical Tests and Graded Assignments will be submitted to the teacher and will be marked by the teacher to assess your child’s level of understanding.

Topical tests and/or graded assignments will typically be reviewed in the following lesson together with the teacher.

Parents should receive an email with the marked copy if the test/graded assignment has been submitted.

Here’re The Submission Mechanics:

ONSITE STUDENTS:

  1. The test/graded assignment will be collected during the onsite lesson and returned in the following onsite lesson.
  2. If your child will be attending a digital lesson in the following week, please print the emailed marked copy prior to the digital lesson.

DIGITAL STUDENTS:

  1. The test/graded assignment will have to be scanned and emailed to the respective teacher by the end of the day the test/graded assignment was completed.
  2. Please print the emailed marked copy prior to the following digital lesson.

Click To See What Has Changed

Prior to 5th March 2021, students enrolled in hybrid classes are required to scan and print their topical tests/ graded assignments, depending on when they are scheduled to attend onsite lessons.

Why has this changed?

Given that we are administering the tests at our Centre for onsite students, topical tests attempted in class can be collected from the students directly.

In-Class Exercises and Homework will only be reviewed as a class together with the teacher. As our academic team strives to encourage independent learning, the answers to the worksheets reviewed will be uploaded to our Digital Learning Portal for students to check their work accordingly.

If students require any clarification, they may check with their teacher during the lesson or break.

If further clarification is required, parents may also drop your child’s teacher a WhatsApp message on the academic line.

If you’re unsure of the contact number, please approach the Customer Care team for more information.

Here’s How Keep Your Child Safe With Enhanced Measures

From the beginning, your child’s safety and well-being have always been important to us. We will be adopting a series of government-mandated measures to make our onsite experience as safe as possible for our learners.

SafeEntry Registration & Temperature Screening

Every student authorised to attend onsite lessons will need to report to the Temperature Screening Station before attending the class:

(i) Undergo health screening (temperature taking & health declaration)
(ii) Check in via SafeEntry only if the following conditions are met:

  • You/your child have not had close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the past 14 days
  • You/your child are not currently under a Quarantine Order or Stay-Home Notice
  • You/your child do not have fever or flu-like symptoms
  • You/your child agree to the terms and consent to the collection and use of your information for the purpose of COVID-19 contact tracing

✳️ Please ensure that your child brings along a mobile device or Student ID to facilitate the SafeEntry processing.

If your child is living in the same household as a family member who is unwell, he/she should not be attending his/her onsite lesson for that particular week.

Staff and students who are unwell (i.e. fever or respiratory symptoms) will not be allowed to enter our premises.

Revised In-Class Seating Arrangement

Students attending onsite lessons will be split into groups (up to 8 per group) with at least 1-metre distancing between both groups.

As much as possible, we will attempt to assign onsite classes across all of our classrooms in the other units on the same level to avoid intermingling between students.

Entry/exit timings of all students will also be staggered.

Disinfection Between Classes & Regular, Extensive Sanitisation Efforts

Classrooms will also be thoroughly sanitised before and after classes.

We have also stepped up our sanitisation efforts in classrooms and common areas with the use of NEA-approved professional cleaners.

Deep cleaning by fogging non-toxic, skin-friendly chemicals have also been scheduled on a weekly basis.

Use of Masks

All students will be required to wear a mask at the Centre. Students can choose to wear a face shield on top of a mask for additional protection if desired.

Easy Access to Sanitisers

Automated hand sanitiser dispenser machines have also been installed along all common areas for students to use when necessary.

Safe Distancing Control In Common Areas

Aside from the installation of safe distancing markers on the ground, safe distancing ambassadors will also be deployed to remind students to keep a safe distance from each other.

As much as possible, parents who are picking up their children should make pick-up arrangements at Level 1 to avoid crowding the waiting areas.

Changes to Reception Operations

Our Reception will also remain CLOSED for enquiries and payment.

If you would like to learn more about our programmes or products, please contact us via WhatsApp, Email or Live Chat.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will the teachers be able to overcome the challenge of communicating to both groups of onsite/digital students and not compromise the quality of teaching?

As the teacher will still be teaching through his/her digital device while onsite, we would expect that students attending digitally will experience little to no change to how they have been learning so far.

Concurrently, students who attend onsite lessons will be viewing the teacher’s shared screen projected on the whiteboard. This would be the same screen that students see in the current online lesson set-up, allowing the teacher to address and speak to both groups of students.

This arrangement for on-site lessons is meant to cater to students who are often distracted at home by their digital devices and require a more conducive physical setting, such as a classroom and a teacher who is present to help them focus.

We’ll continue to monitor, evaluate and improve the learning experience as we go along.

How are make-up classes done?

Each student is subjected to the make-up lesson limit of 3 arrangements in a term. Make-up lessons have to be arranged in any of our existing group classes within the same academic week, subjected to availability.

Our academic week starts on a Friday and ends on a Thursday in the next week.

All make-up lessons will be done digitally, regardless of your child’s preferred learning arrangement.

What is the maximum capacity in a classroom?

Up to a maximum of 14 students* will be allowed to attend onsite lessons in our classroom.

Students who show up for an onsite class when they are not scheduled to will be turned away from the Centre.

We seek your kind understanding in this matter as we need to comply with the social distancing directives by the Ministry of Education.

*The maximum venue capacity depends on the classroom.

Can my child continue attending alternate onsite/digital weekly lessons?

No, we will be phasing the alternate onsite/digital lesson arrangement out by the end of March 2021.

Students will be required to attend the weekly classes either fully onsite at our centre OR fully digitally via Zoom.

We understand that some students may require some time to work out their schedules. As such, you may reach out to the Customer Care team to plan your child’s lesson schedule with us during this transition period.
