Mr. Ryan Seow

Mr. Ryan graduated with the highest distinction from the National University of Singapore (NUS), earning a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Chemistry, specialising in Materials and minoring in Nanoscience. As a curriculum developer and research scientist with 8 years of teaching experience, his extensive experience equips him to provide his students with a comprehensive understanding of how different scientific disciplines are interconnected. This approach has helped make learning exciting, relevant and meaningful for his students.

Mr. Ryan’s proficiency in bridging the gap between advanced scientific concepts and everyday understanding is a testament to his commitment to inspiring curiosity and fostering a deeper appreciation of Science in his students. 🔎 Qualitative Analysis

Describe tests to identify cations (Zn2+, Al3+, Pb2+, Ca2+, Cu2+, Fe2+, Fe3+) using sodium hydroxide and ammonia
Describe tests to identify anions (Cl-, I-, SO4 2-, CO3 2-, NO3 -) by means of precipitation or gas tests
Describe tests to identify gases
Determine constituent ions in an unknown solution from results given in a flowchart
