Session 1: Crash Landing & Escape To Safety (1.5 Hour)

🐣 Explore the concept of heredity & why organisms share similar traits as their parents by creating their very own Baby Alien

🪂 Deep dive into the concept of aerodynamics by learning how a parachute works and designing a paracute for escape

🚤 Learn how elastic potential energy & buoyancy work by creating their very own rescue boat

Session 2: Survival On Earth (1.5 Hour)

🌤️ Learn how the water cycle works to make clean water

🔋 Explore the different types of energy sources (renewable vs non-renewable) in a little treasure hunt activity

🔌 Identify the different parts of an electrical circuit & understand how a bulb lights up to power up the spaceship

Ms. Vanessa’s love for Science started at a young age, which later led her to graduate from National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Distinction).

Having taught students of varying levels in different academic settings, she finds it extremely rewarding to share her Science knowledge with her students. She makes her lessons fun and interactive by relating Science concepts with real-life examples to make concepts easier to understand.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Mr. Derrick has a good mastery of Science concepts and is fully equipped to clarify common scientific misconceptions among students. Over the past 12 years, he has worked closely with primary school students with differing academic abilities.

He is well-loved among his students for his patience in guiding them through the thought processes and answering techniques required to excel in the PSLE Science examination. Ensuring that the students enjoy his lessons is his top priority. In order to do so, he constantly integrates real-life examples and stories into his lessons to pique his students’ interest in Science.

The P1/P2 Science Exploration Programme will be conducted either digitally via Zoom or onsite at our Centre, subject to the prevailing national Safe Management Measures.

We will advise the confirmed learning arrangement 1 week prior to the course commencement.

There will be no fee refund or course withdrawals accommodated in due to the learning arrangement (normal withdrawal terms & conditions apply).

If the P1/P2 Science Exploration Programme is conducted onsite at our Centre, we will NOT be able to accommodate for students to attend digitally via Zoom.

If the P1/P2 Science Exploration Programme is conducted digitally via Zoom, we will NOT be able to accommodate for students to attend onsite at the Centre. Additionally, parental supervision will be required for the duration of the programme for the digital learning arrangement.

I understand that the programme may be conducted digitally via Zoom or onsite at the Centre, subject to the prevailing national Safe Management Measures and there will be no fee refund or course withdrawals accommodated in such situations (normal withdrawal terms & conditions apply).
